Mechanical Engineering is known as the broadest-based engineering discipline with the opportunity to specialise in composites, material science, aerodynamics, vibration analysis, mechatronics, or thermodynamics.
The School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Howard College Campus) consists of 11 academic staff members, 15 support staff members, tbc undergraduates registered for the BScEng (Mech) degree, and 25 full time postgraduate students registered for MScEng and 6 registered for their PhD.
